Slum Project

The overall goal of this project is to support children in slums to realize their right to access good education, healthcare, and all the good things the universe has to offer them. To achieve this, we are planning a slum project where we will identify kids that want to return to school but can’t afford it.

The urban population living in slums in Nigeria was reported at 53.9% in 2018, according to the World Bank. The major challenges of slum dwellers include low-quality housing, high unemployment rate, drug abuse, domestic violence, and low-quality of education. FutureRise Africa seeks to confront the social alienation of children living in these areas and empower them so they can realize their dreams and contribute to the growth of the nation.

The plan is to use a pragmatic approach to address secondary school education and train children from extremely poor backgrounds in Nigerian slums; address the barrier to accessing good education, lift their hopes, and help them reach their true potential in any area they choose to excel – prepare them for life and work, thus breaking the cycle of poverty.

Our objective is to start with 30 kids for a period of 5 years, we support them with what they need for their education or training.

We appreciate all our sponsors for their generous donation. Thank you so much!
